I am an ADHD Specialist. I offer a comprehensive assessment, diagnostic formulation and where appropriate, offer safe initiation of psychostimulant treatment in line with best practice guidelines to support focus, wellbeing and daily functioning.

My approach is not to be inquisitive but to try and understand your internal frame of reference by taking a comprehensive assessment of your history. I intend to establish trust and a rapport to ensure that you feel safe with sharing your personal history, strategies and your struggles.

I do not rush my assessments. They tend to take about three hours. Once stable I will transfer you back to your GP under 'Shared Care' arrangements.

I will forward a copy of your assessment to your GP, Employer, University etc if requested.
My Story
I trained at Park Prewett Hospital, Basingstoke, Hampshire UK; built in 1921. It was an institution. In the early 80's it was reported to be one of the top three hospitals in the country because of the of the enigmatic leadership of consultant psychiatrists like Dr John Lyon, Dr Eric Chan-Pensley, and Dr Warren to name just three. I was fortunate enough to be trained by these psychiatrists who were ahead of their time. They were giants to me.

My Clinical Supervisor is Dr Alan Ogilvie, Consultant Psychiatrist.
